SabrToothSqrl Oct 12, 2010 8:16 AM

ANOTHER newer one?!

ugh.

http://www.gmnavdisc.com/disc-search...TAHO&year=2009

yea, it looks legit... found a few on ebay... $200...

6.0c it looks as well.

I will have to check what I have, I just got one of these not long ago it seems...

is there any new function on the newer versions or just more roads/POI? I think ours has the 2008 update in it now

Be aware that whoever is maintaining the nav database only makes changes when they are sent to them by cities, counties, or the Fed. (This is what the folks at the website told me a couple of years ago) I still show driving off-road on a hwy that was done several years ago.

i second the torrent comment. these discs are a friggin rip off! im searching the web daily for the newer version torrent to be published on either

isohunt.com or kickasstorrents.com ..... anyone had any luck finding the new nav disc torrent anywhere else?? torrentreactor had a version i had not seen b4, but no results for 6.0c yet. 20940248 i think it is...

SabrToothSqrl Oct 20, 2010 1:48 PM

nope

nothing yet, just the fake links that tick you off... endless clicking for nothing...

I wouldn't mind $39.99 update, i'd spend that maybe every 2 years, or even $49.99

but $200 for a DVD? who the hell are they kidding when Google gives it away... FREE.

I hope 6.0c includes a firmware update, but i doubt it...

ousig2408 Oct 20, 2010 2:15 PM

I agree $200 is a joke. Even the updates in my Acura are $180 sometimes they are on "sale" for $150...
what is this torrent you all are talking about?

RedOctober Oct 20, 2010 3:27 PM

go to http://www.isohunt.com and search for GM Nav or Acura Nav and you will see a list of torrents. look at the reviews and carefully select before you download. download the torrent file and then open it with BitTorrent or with LimeWire and let the file download. It will download as a .iso (most likely) and then burn that to a DVD. pop it in your vehicle and you now have the newest map DVD.

this is JUST hypothetical... cuz technically i think it's illegal. but speaking hypothetically its free and fast and it fu#$s the man lol hypothetically... but u shouldn't do it cuz its bad. only bad ppl do it. bad ppl with lots of savings every yr.

Don't forget all of the folks that got caught up in the music sharing a few years ago. Some wound up w/ huge fines.
