I phoned dealer this morning to make appt for Tech II for "theftlock" on Nav unit. Service writer gave me more static than a short wave radio ... "it won't work"... "the radio doesn't belong in the vehicle" ... " it could take all day and then probably won't work" ... " this doesn't belong in the vehicle" ... "we've tried this before it didn't work" ... you get the picture. I have an appointment on Friday to sit at 7:30am and he might see me that day.
Are there any dealers in the Pittsburgh PA region who've been friendly to our plight for aftersale tinkerings with OEM parts?

LMAO, this is a 15-30 minute job at the dealership! LMAO, that is too funny. Just tell that guy he doesnt have a clue. The information you need is on the forum, just find the navigation threads and thereare step by step instructions of what you can tell the dealership to do/perform!
And yes, it can be done! As long as the unit you put in the vehicle is compatible for your make and model!
