Hello all, I am in the process of buying spark plug wires for my truck. I see several different types out here but all the stores want to sell their own brand. I see two different types of AC DELCO on is numbered 9748RR and the other is 748RR. One cost 40.00 the other 79.00 I called the dealer but they are selling theirs for 159.00 but only will tell me that they are AC Delco. Can some on please help.... Thanks.

Rock Auto sells the 9748RR for $33.99 and the 748RR for 68.99. You can get a 5% discount for being a member of this forum. You get what you pay for. The 748RR is a better made wire and should last longer. They are more heat resistant and have better RFI supression among many other features.

 

Sweet thanks, I kinda figured the ones that cost more were better. What about Bosch?

 

They all make very good ones and the lower quality ones. They need to compete with price. You have to check the specs of the different makes and models.
