New Front Grille & Tow Hooks
Here is the front grille & Tow Hook covers.
I think it sets the front off! Took about a hour to install because I didn't want to scratch nothing in the process. http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/...rontgrille.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/...ontgrille2.JPG |

RE: New Front Grille & Tow Hooks
Looks good! Congrats!
Did you have to remove the tow hooks or did you leave them behind the tow hook grilles? |
RE: New Front Grille & Tow Hooks
I don't like the gap on top of the Bowtie I may take it apart and trim the legs on the grille off to let it sink a little more.
Anybody else ran into this on their grille.[:@] |
RE: New Front Grille & Tow Hooks
Yep, every bar style grille I have seen has that issue! Mine included.

Looks good. Is it an overlay or cutout?

RE: New Front Grille & Tow Hooks
You can see that the upper grille is arched up. Along the bottom of the upper it almost touches on theouter edgesand thecentersits up. Like Shark suggested, bend the grille down or use something to press down in the center.

Speaking of grilles...can anyone help me with this???... https://chevroletforum.com/m_27912/mpage_2/key_/tm.htm |
RE: New Front Grille & Tow Hooks
The directions say take a 8mm socket to get the Tow Hooks out. I just left them in, since it's a 4x4 you never know.
For the gap I will more than likely take it out and grind the bottom two legs down until it sit's right in the grille. I looked at it a lot last night and it looks as though it just doesn't have the room to sit down because of the two lower supports. I may even grindall 4 of themdown to recess it into the outer grille some. |
