That is Sweet!
I'm going for the "Wire Mesh" look when I get my Grill Insert for my 96 Tahoe.

Two different brand grilles guys! That is why the one looks like it sits better! Trust me, I have went through about 10 grilles. Everyone of them fit different, i even had two of the exact samegrilles, each fit differently.

As for yours Andy, you can bend those little braces/bars that stick out the back of the grille which will help it sit a little better. I messed with my old one for a while and got it slightly better.

I plan to mess around with it this weekend. Hopefully to my liking. I will post pictures when I'm satified with it. That gap has got to go one way or another! I may use the rubber end caps that came on it to help sit inside the grille.

I played with it for about 3 hrs. last night. This is all it would do without cutting the black factory grille out of the truck. That maybe my next step. I just hate to do it to a new vehicle! It does sit better inside the grille area though. I tried every combonation with the supports until I got them like this.

That looks better. To be honest, you arent going to get it any better. Most every bar style grille has that gap.

Just from experience, do not cut the honey comb out. I did that and now my grille area doesnt hold shape. Hard to explain, but it will not make it better. I sure wish I would have left my honey comb alone!

Thanks,
I will leave it alone but I sure wish it would fit better. I have the e-mail to the guy I got it threw. I plan to voice my complaint to them today.
I got this grille form a Place called "Grilles 4 you" off E-Bay.

It looks like the same one I got on ebay from autopartsgallery. 9 bar over 11 bar
