I'm new to the group and wanted to show you my 2007 Tahoe. It has stainless steel emblems, mesh grille and tow hook covers, fender flares, 20 inch American Racing Burn wheels, hood deflector, a 5.1 Dolby Surround system with XM radio, Sirius, back up cameras, Alpine IW-200 head unit, Alpinebluetooth handsfree for my cell phone, Alpine navigation, center channel speaker, Boston Acoustics speakers and Alpine Ipod adapter. The only thing left for me is some front tint and TracVision DirecTv.
Thanks to the people at Superior Sound, Saugus, MA 781-231-5110 for the audio install and
Coastal Customs, Salisbury, NH for the aftermarket parts.

Looks good!! How do you like the Alpine unit? I am getting ready to put the new model (205) in my Tahoe. Does the Bluetooth unit work good? Can you hear and be heard OK? Did you put new amps in? Where did you put them?
Thanks,
Mike

The Alpine Unit is great, I've had a lot of car stereo's but this one is fantastic. With the 5.1 surround sound and center channel, the sound is incredible. The Alpine amps are located under the rear seat. Looking in the car, with the exception of the head unit, everything else looks stock but sounds incredible. The Bose system was the worst decision GM could have made.
As for the Bluetooth, I like it, but the people on the other end of the phone don't. You control the volume with the head unit, but it is hit or miss with people on the other end of the phone saying it sounds like I am in a tin can or muffled. My mic is mounted on the driver's side windshield support.

Before you condemn Bose too much, remember that GM put them on a very tite budget for the system. [
] Too bad cuz you get what you pay for.
