Arrow Rear door handle - alarm sounds when door is locked...

Howdy everyone - 2015 Suburban LTZ - I've had an issue ongoing for sometime, and I'm not sure where to start to diagnose and troubleshoot. My rear driver's side door handle sounds the car alarm whenever one of my kids pulls the handle before I've unlocked the car. This only happens with this one door. It appears to lock and unlock just fine, but it seems to me like the alarm thinks that the door handle is unlocked and the door was opened (like I had opened the car with the actual key). To be clear, the door is still locked and does not open, and the alarm turns off when I push the unlock button on the fob, or driver door handle, or if I press the ignition button. I've googled and search the forums, but I can't seem to find a search term that will get me to the solution. Any ideas?

Might be an issue in the door latch as that's where the door switches are. Try shooting some light lube up into it like a silicone first.
