Default Replacing a Parking Release Handle 96 Suburban

I have to replace my handle and purchased the Dorman 74449 Parking Release Handle to accomplish this on my 96 Suburban

The part fits but I have no pins, brackets, anything to attach it to. The metal bar is coming out of the dash and the handle sits on it but how do I attach it?

This is making me feel not so smart.......which might be the case.

Be gentle.
