Can you just wet sand with 1000 SiC paper? Not sure I've ever seen satin chrome. Black chrome, yes.

i'm actually looking for the same thing.
to keep the Z71 theme continuous, i need satin chrome bowties for the front and back. i'd settle for a brushed finish also. let me know if you come across a nice set.

what about a polished aluminum? if thats too shiny, hit it with 0000 steel wool. IT will look brushed....Just brush it one even direction. We did this too mine bike frame which was polished at one time. Got tired of polishing it so we brushed it. Looks like a painted silver....

Are the bowti(s) front and back easy enough to remove and replace? Know of a solid place to pick up some silver front and back bowti(s)? Thanks

Removal is a breeze...I used ahair dryer and some dental floss. You can also use an old credit card. No need to get new bowties, just get the old pair painted... If want chrome, try EBAY
