Seat belt chime
Enough with the " just wear you seatbelt" crap. Maybe mind your own business and move on if your aren't going to help.
I wear my seatbelt at all times. The second I close my door in my truck the alarm goes off before I even have time to put my seatbelt on. I is annoying as ****! Therefore I also want to know how to disable this....

Welcome to the forum.
Not sure who you're referring to w/ the MYOB comment. Also don't know what year and model your truck is but my Tahoe chime doesn't go off until some time after I take it out of Park. Yours may be different.
FWIW, I've owned a lot of GM vehicles over the years and none of them had a seat belt chime go off w/ the opening of a door. You might want to get it check as something may not be right.

I realize I'm a day late and a dollar short on this thread, but I also want to know how to turn it off on my 2004 Tahoe. For those of you holier than thou people who diligently wear their seat belts and criticize those of who don't, I actually have a confirmed phobia regarding a seat belt. My phobia is of being trapped in a car accident and not being able to remove the seat belt and then burning alive. It is enough that I have presented a doctors note to a judge and had tickets dismissed. So before you go passing judgment on EVERYBODY for not wearing a seat belt, some of us would rather be thrown from the vehicle and die on impact than be trapped and burn.

Personally I don't care what you do but there is a tool available that both will cut the seat belt and break the side window glass.
Dying is not the only option when "thrown clear". You can also be paralyzed and/or be a vegetable.
Actually I lied. I do care because unless you have a notarized waiver foregoing all medical attention, then your care raises everyone's insurance rates. Sort of like all those riding motorcycles w/o helmets.

There are other options to being "thrown clear". Being paralyzed and/or becoming a vegetable are a couple.
Of course there's always the rate increases everyone else that accompany other's choices when something bad happens to them.
