i have a 2007 chevy suburban and the STC warning comes on and along with the reduce engine power message. Sometimes i can turn it off/on it works fine. Other times it will reset after leaving it parked for a few days.

 

search this forum for my posts on this. basically replace the throttle body. its about $150 i think.
