Shock & Leveling kit combination

Good morning everyone. This will be my first post here. I've had great success at forums for my other vehicles so I hope this forum is just as helpful.
I recently took our '03 'burban Z71 for it's mandated state inspection (it passed). When I was paying for the work ($16) the mechanic came into the office and let me know that the front shocks are shot. I told him that the ride characteristics had changed. He didn't try to sell me anything but simply said, "Just don't take it to the dealer. They'll rip you off".
I want to replace the front shocks but also install a leveling kit too. I drive a Jeep Wrangler almost everyday and really miss the approach angle and front-end ground clearance when driving the 'burban.
The question:
Is it advisable to install Monroe Reflex Monotube shock absorbers (Advance Auto: Part No. 911505) with Rough Country 1.5" - 2" leveling kit (for 1999 - 2006 4wd 1500 Pickup) (Part No. 7592)?
