Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Probably wont do much for a large animal but works well for the intended purpose.

One question... why do Suburbans and many other large vehicles have those rubber (?) strips underneather the bumper... sure must restrict offroad ability.

Looks great RoTo

If you're referring to the valence strip under the bumper cover, it's for aerodynamics. It's so low on the NBS that the Owner's Manual recommends removing for serious off-roading.

It's definitely very low!! How much difference would it actually make aerodynamically?

Yeh, everytime I see it I think that if I had a Suburban/Tahoe, I'd remove it first thing!! Give it a 2in lift, and some good tyres... and some decent barwork... but I probably won't ever own a Suburban or Tahoe haha. Cost at least $100,000 here from small companies that import them and convert them to RHD.

How is it removed? Is it easy?
Just how capable are these big trucks? How do they compare offroad to a Landcruiser 200?
