Use Clarion or Rockford Fosgate components and speakers, you will be blown away with Clarity. www.gosmm.com

IfI were to replace all the speakers in my Tahoe using the stock radio (i have the Bose system no Nav) but not the Bose amp, would I need any additional equipment side from Pac line level converter? Also, has anyone found a good set of replacement speakers for the rear pilars. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't waste your time w/ speakers in the rear pillars....

PAC OS-3 will do the trick to hook up w/o the bose amp

ORIGINAL: ZX1100F1
1" front Delco Tweeters: a-pillars.
6.5" Bose mid wofers: front doors.
6.5" Delco full range wizzer-cone: rear doors.
3" Bose mid's: rear D-pillars.
6.5" Bose DVC Sub inclosure: front center console.
Dave, you said that the rear door speakers were not Bose that they were Delco, but today I replaced mine and they had a Bose sticker on them. Do they just slap the Bose sticker on some Delcos or are they really Bose?

Well I just ordered all the damn gearfor the damn audio setup, i am just going to let my local circuit city do the intsall , because honestly i dont trust my local audion shops but one and they charge $$$$ of money...

I am still up in the air with the hi low convertor and hope that circuit city has the parts needed to do the install. I am still in the air with the pac adapters.

I need two of them so i am told, but which one. I dont want to order themto find out they are not the ones i need.

replacing the cabin speakers with 4 6.5" and 4 1" tweets and adding 2 12" subs
4 6.5" speakers powered by seperate amp and also the 2 12" subs. will not be using the factory bose amp and keeping my factory headunit due to rear video package.

help which adapter and modelnumber or link to one

Ijust installed all new speakers (focal 165v2 components in the front and eclipse point 6.5 point sources in the rear) in my truck with a six channel zapco amp. What a pain it was.I wanted to keep the onstarbut once u add a head unit and an amp u need to rewire the vehicle. So now i have the oem 3 inch speakers in the rear pillars as my onstar speakers, which worked out extremely well.. The other option to keep onstar was add a seperate speaker under the dash, but idecided against that.
