Default Stabilitrack off po171 po174

Hello to all,

i had a check check engine on for evap system leak, when I took the evap canister assembly off the truck I noticed a small screwdriver sized hole in the canister which I filled with a epoxy plastic weld. The check engine turned off and everything was good for about 300 miles. Then check engine came on again for po172 and po174 system too lean. Then it turned off. Then on again. So I remembered someone in this forum saying these engines like chevron with Techron 91 gas. So I fillled with 91 from chevron and the check engine turned off for a good 100 miles. Now the check engine comes on intermittently with the service stabilitrack light that turns on and off intermittently. I changed the air filter and it stopped for 50 miles or so. Now it’s come back again and I can’t figure it out I know it could be a slew of things regarding vacuum. But I can’t figure this out right now. Any help or fixes anyone has had with the same problem? Thanks

I won't be any help with the check engine message, but...Had the Stabilitrak problem with my 2011 Suburban also. My research turned up that the Ethanol blend can mess with the Active Fuel Management sensors which in turn control the Stabilitrak. I read where the Ethanol amount in some brands of gas can be as much as 60% or greater. I switched to 100% gas and as long as I run 100% gas the Service Stabilitrak message doesn't come on. I know pure gas is more expensive-sometimes 10-15 cents more on the gallon, but I sat down and did the math. 31 gallon tank x .15=$4.65 more on a tank of gas. Plus I get better fuel mileage with 100% gas over the Ethanol blend-100-150 miles more per tank with my driving habits. Fuel mileage was not a factor when I bought my Burb-the ride and room for roadtrips with our grown children and their spouses was- but it's always a nice suprise to see "V4" and constant "23" on the dash for mpg when I'm driving. Hope this helps a little.
