I hate the 2000's design.
any help would be great, i did post this in the silverado area but no one has replyed, and i know there are alot of people full of information in this area.
-thanks

RE: steering wheel swap
Alright, thanks ZX.
Last night i was reading something about the SIR and replacing the airbag. so is it the sensor or what that wouldnt make my truck reconize the new airbag?
Do you think a delership could do it for me?

RE: steering wheel swap
A bag out of an 03 Tahoe cannot even be mated or matched to your Tahoe, the SIR module will detect that the airbag is incompatible disable the system and illuminate a Service SIR light.
A dealer cannot touch this modification with a ten foot pole, they will not even humor your request, it would be easier to talk a dealer into removing your catalytic converter and that isn’t happening either.
