Default suburban AC question

2001 Chevrolet Truck Suburban 2500 4WD 6.0L SFI 8cyl. My AC system needs a recharge (leaking valve) so after replacing the valve I need to recharge the system but I am trying to figure out what refrigerant to use. the Hayes manual says 3 lbs of R134a but the sticker under the hood looks like it says R22 but its faded and very hard to read. can anyone confirm for me what refrigerant to us and how much?
thanks

R134a but not sure how much. Depends on if you have rear A/C or not. Someone here with that model can check their sticker and let you know.

I am pretty sure that the shop you take it to get to evacuate the system will be able to look up how much R134a to put back in.
