So I recently swapped the engine in my 03 suburban 2WD with the engine out of a 04 Silverado 2WD. It seems now that my suburban is in security mode. The security light is on and it says service air bag. What I need to know is do I need to take it to get reprogrammed, or can I get an ECM that is already programed and put it in? Do not want to waist money on a part I don't need. I also would like to save money and avoid the dealer ship if I can. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I can't reset the computer. I either need a new one or take this one to get programed.
