Suburban Transmission Problem

Suburban Transmission Problem
So my wife calls me today and said that she tried coming home from work but the vehicle was hardly moving. I found that the transmission cooler line had popped of and pretty much emptied the tranny fluid. She drove the vehicle I guess about a mile before noticing anything was wrong. I reconnected the line and filled the tranny with fluid. At first it was making all kinds of grinding noises but straightened itself out. I drove it about five miles and now the transmission only has first, second, and reverse. Is it possible the transmission is done or could it be something else. Here are some stats of the vehicle: 1994 Chevy Suburban, 4X4, 175,000 miles, 4L60 transmission. Thanks for any answers.

IMO try a proper transmission flush first. Driving on low/no fluid probably burnt the residual fluid which is clogging up the internal lines. However, with 175k on there it probably needs a rebuild after that (unless you had it rebuilt recently).
Good luck.
Good luck.
