Suburban Z71 Conversion

Suburban Z71 Conversion
I am looking to upgrade from my '08 Z71 Tahoe to a 2015 or newer Suburban. I love my existing Z71 and want to get a Z71 Suburban. I am finding that they are very hard to find and when I do, overpriced in my opinion. I am starting to toy with the idea of just getting an LT and making as many of the "Z71" upgrades as I can to sort of convert it to as close as I can to a true Z71. I have to admit, part of the reason is I just like the look of the Z71 better. But it is not just that, I tow every weekend (around 5000 lbs) and I drive on steep grade, gravel roads and through woods on the weekends. I wouldn't call it true offroading but upgraded suspension and the better towing gear ratio would be helpful. I do not want to just slap the Z71 emblems on it. I want the performance upgrades as well.
My thought would be to find an LT that is pretty close to the Z71 to start from. Ideally I can find an LT with the fog lights, gear ratio, and transfer case. I think if I find one with the max trailering package that would help. Then I can do most of the other upgrades after the fact. I need to start pricing things...
