Unhappy Tahoe 07 LT suspension bounce allot !

Hi, I'm second owner and just noticed the suspension bounce allot !

I did changed the origynal shocks by a RANCHO RS9000 front and rear, and ajusted to the maximum tighness still bouncing allot !!!

and you do not what to imagine when the gass tank goes bellow the lower level.. feels like a BOAT !

do this is normal?

I will apreaciate your feedback,

I'm looking to tow my 24' boat for long ride....... so any comment or recomendations will be apreciated.

final note. I took my ride to the GMC dealer and explained the situation and tested other two new Tahoes 09', they do not bounce like my one, and is suposed the RANCHO's are the best in the market... I'm really frustrated.

Welcome to the forum.

Did it bounce before you replaced the OEM shocks?

My 04 silverado's rear end bounces pretty bad too, I replaced the shocks with some beefier ones and it helped a little but still bounces. I've just learnt to live with it.

thank you for your feedback, to answer 73Shark, yes it did allot, that was the reason I changed to the Rancho shocks.

Do I need to change the coil spins? ans add a bags? to stiff the suspension?

what do you think?

I´m affraid to get the OEM coil spins agan and not solve the problem, probably the bags will help a bit, I learned in this forum

the bags I´m looking are the Air Lift 1000 Air Bags

I´m not looking to modify the look of my Tahoe, just solve the bouncing and improve the drive once I tow the 24´ boat......
what do you think?

thank you all for the coments....

I´m afraid to get the OEM coil spins again and not solve the problem, probably the bags will help a bit, I learned in this forum

Talking

here the response from a chat service from one of the experts in suspensions

really very helpfull.....

sharig the conversations..

expert says:
Well it sounds like your springs have weakened
grandcas says:
wonder if I have a problem with the coil spins?????, by the way i did changed the 4 shocks.
EXPERT says:
They tend to lose PSI and will weaken over time .
Grandcas says:
exaclty, that was my fears.....
Grandcas says:
so in your opinion and experience, the coil spings loose the stiff capacity, right?
EXPERT says:
Yes sir they do. And the weight diffrential is 15% of tthe weight is supported by shocks whle the rest depends on the springs
Grandcas says:
excaclty, that make sense to me.. that is the reason even loading the best shocks in the market, still bouncing...
Grandcas says:
got it, I will proceed to change the coil springs for other OEM new ones....
EXPERT says:
That is correct. The shocks are having to support to much weight and they will go bad quickly
EXPERT says:
Ok shoot?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Welcome to the forum!

2007 should not have that much bounce - did the first owner lower the vehicle thus altering the OEM suspension?
