She is too cool. If she cant make you smile, then you got serious problems. Stay safe.

RE: Tailgate opening by itself???

Hey doo,

Glad to hear your tailgate is better so far too. Hope this is the end to this problem! Thanks for all the help with the antenna for the starter. I think I got it right this time. :)

I checked the remote to see if the button was stuck down but it wasn't. We only have 350 miles on it and love it....hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

so was this a recall? Did you have to pay to get it fixed. Mine does this all day. And will even open when locked and set my alarm off

It DOES open while driving

Last night my brand new Weber grill and patio furniture was destroyed when the tailgate open while driving.
I have had the truck 6 months and put almost 8k miles and this has never happened before.

I had literally just purchased the grill and patio furniture when for no reason the gate dropped and unloaded the contents on the road at 45 mph.
fortunately the car behind did not get hit by the grill or furniture.

What are my options?

Liftgate not working...

I have a 08 Chevy suburban my automatic liftgate has not been working for a while now at 1st the lyft gate would open partially and then shut back and close on its own. I have Replace the struts after seeing some YouTube videos it worked the 1st time I opened and closed it but not again after so that wasn't the issue. It now unlocks And does not allow me to open right away I can open it right away by pulling it through and making a loud noise but noise while doing so but if you just wait a second then you can open up the rest of the way. It seems to be making the right sounds and lights flashing like they should it locks and unlocks when using manually. I have mostly had my automatic part off by using the button-up top top in the front of the vehicle The other day I put it on to try to figure out what could be the issue and while driving down the road told me A message on my dashboard that it was open I pulled over and sure enough it had opened closed it within a quarter of a mile it did it again I shut that button off and haven't had an issue with the button off I went to the dealership for "on certain parts all sounds pretty expensive could it just be throwing a code that needs cleared or updated Or could it be the lifted app lyfgate actuator and latch? What other parts are there to cause this kind of issue?

Could be the keypad on the fob being worn out so it unlocks by itself. They sell replacement keypads online cheap. With the switch set to off it the remote will not work.

2019 GMC Terrain crazy lift gate

I have a 2019 GMC Terrain SLT without power lift gate. But almost every time the car is unlocked the lift gate pops open. Anyone else seen this ?
