I recently had the sunshell go out on my 4l60E. I've removed it from the truck and am now getting ready to crack it open. I figured while I have it opened up, I should probably replace common wear items. In looking at rebuild kits, there are lots of options. I am not looking to make a race car out of this thing. I just want a solid stock tranny! Does anyone have any suggestions on quality rebuild kits and/or resources that would help me along the way? It's a 1998 K1500. Thanks!

 

autorepair manuals.biz has ATRA rebuild manuals that step by step take you through the rebuild. they offer tsb updates that may relate to your rebuild. I preferred their information to gm service information.
