Default trouble finding a lift.

Ive found lift kits for my truck all ove rthe place, but when i start reading the info notes for installation there's stuff that directly effects my truck.

I would like to do a 6inch suspension lift but I can settle for a 3 inch body lift until I can afford it. My buddy was trying to tell me that i can fit 35s with a 3 inch body lift, but im not seeing how it will. I have a 94 Suburban 4x4 6lug. Any advice would be sweet.

What happened with the installation of a lift kit on your ride? Was it a success?
