Wheel Balancing

Wheel Balancing
I had all 4 wheels balanced today along with an alignment.
3 wheels have weights on both outside and inside except for the front passenger wheel, weight is only on the outside.
I've never seen or noticed this before on any wheels, usually all 4 wheels have weights on both sides(??) static/dynamic
I had always thought if weight was on one side there needed to be some weight on the other.

weights are only needed if there is an imbalance condition to correct. If one side or both sides balance perfectly, no weight is needed.
Every once in a while you get one that balances perfectly with no weight on either side.

Thanks..took it to an indy shop for alignment and balance, heard today parts mgr from the chevy dealer takes his car there for alignments-lol.
I had hoped he didnt pull tire off balancer without adding weight.

I went Road Force and never went back. - Everything I do now (not the mazda or trailers) is road force.
Road Force Balancing | MotorWeek
This fixed vibes in the Tahoe a few years back, and now it's all I do. Some shops, that's all they do. Instead of 10% cars coming back, 0% come back for tire vibes.

with treadwear, a tire may need rebalancing. a tire halfway into its life may be overweighted with the original amount of weight put onto the rim.
rf balancers are a great diagnostic tool. the cost, usually around $100 for 4 tires is somewhat expensive but it does take more time to match mount tires and rims if needed. New tires need about 500 miles driving for accurate measurements. I just make sure I buy good brand name tires.
