Default Wiring O2 sensors together

Hi im new here and i got a question about redoing my exhaust. I have a 99 suburban k2500 and the stock exhaust runs two separate pipes from the manifolds to the muffler then comes out as one single pipe. I have two catalytic converters and 4 o2 sensors. My question is if i weld a y pipe onto the exhaust before the catalytic converter so i have a single pipe coming out can i wire the 2 inlet and outlet O2 sensors together so there's only two total or will that fail? And if i can't do that is it possible to have the 2 inlet and outlet o2 sensors on the same pipe with it failing or reading wrong? Much appreciated on your answers or other ideas. I just want to eliminate one of the pipes so there isn't two running down the truck and without having to do a cat delete

thank you for your answers
