Default 2000 Tracker 4WD Need Front Brake Job Help

I was told by my bro in law who has fixed many cars over the years to forget about doing the brakes on the Tracker because they're tough to do on the 4WD. I have done only disc brake jobs on a few vehicles but have had no problems. Why would an experienced car fixer tell me the Tracker 4WD fronts are a pain in the *** to do? How do they differ from my Dodge Caravan or any other brake job on a non 4wd vehicle that I have done?

Thanks in advance for any help?

The Tracker uses a pretty normal disc brake setup in the front. The rear shoes can be kind of a pain because the face of the hub to larger then usual.
