I have had my 2000 tracker for a short time, have not put the soft top up or down. The frame rear bow has a left/right
latch. The owners manual says the latches are to be closed
when the top is folded down. Right now, with the top up,
the latches are open. It seems when the latches are closed, the
rear bow is longer. Should the latches be closed when the top
is up. Maybe, the latches just relax the top cover to let it
be put up/down. Need clarification on operation...
