91 tracker wont start
Need help ASAP!!!!
I have a automatic 91 geo tracker. It's been having some problems shifting from park to drive getting a little stuck, it did it in the winter but then it stopped until yesterday. Drove it home no problems, tried shifting it from park and it was stuck, tried starting it but nothing happened. I don't hear any sound from the starter or solidoid. I tried tapping both of them with a piece of wood. If I use the shift lock and stick it in neutral nothing happened. There seems to be some sort of small motor or solonoid beside the gear shift that allows the shifter to move i guess but i don't know. ANy thoghts????? by the way I also noticed that when I usually press the brake pedal down i hear a click sound from somewhere in the shifter, i guess a switch that releases the shifter. It no longer makes that sound and when took the cover off the shifter, that part does not move.
