Wink Just got my Tracker!

Hey everyone. Just a little background. I'm a tech at a Chevy dealership in Northwestern MA, right on the I-91 corridor. Anyway, an older lady traded in her 2000 4WD hardtop Tracker for a new Cruze. They gave me the Tracker to safety check, and to see if it was worthy for retail, or it had to be sent off to auction. So, I got in it, saw it only had 95,7xx miles on it, and I was interested. Took it into my bay, put it up in the air, and there was only very minor surface rust! It needed the wheels balanced, an alignment, and brakes all around due to moderate pulsation, but other then that, she was golden. I bought it on the spot! It has all the power options, including keyless, which is nice. I got rid of my 98 Lincoln Mark VIII, so hopefully the gas savings will be noticeable. I only have one picture of it at Gillette Stadium (home of the New England Patriots), but more pictures will come later today!

So, installed new DuraStop pads and rotors, and drums and shoes this weekend. One drum was stamped wrong, the hub opening was all off kilter, so it currently has one old drum, and one new drum with new shoes. The old drum is still throwing a bit of a pulsation, which is driving me crazy because I keep thinking all the new stuff is on! Hopefully it will go away when the new replacement drum comes in!

I have changed the gm dexron vi in my transmission 2 time now, i thing it has a faster and more positive shift now. My tracker has 85,000, the transmission oil had not be changed for many years, it was discolored, i think from wear and moisture.

Default brake problems!

i have a 2001 chevy tracker and i was wondering if someone can help me with my drum brakes.there is a thing called a pawl lever on the rear drivers side drum, it fell out and i dont know for sure how it goes in. seems to adjust brakes somehow, but i dont know enough to continue. if someone could send me a pic with theirs in proper place, or any advice would be greatly appreciated.
