2 problems, AC and shift release
I have a intermittent AC problem where the AC will not cool when starting. Sometimes I have to restart the vehicle and it will finally start the compressor. I figure a relay is the problem but dont know which one or where it is.

The other prob is I am having problems getting the brake lock to release the gear shift. Cannot get it out of park when starting vehicle. What up with that?

Thanks

i don't know if it can do the same trick for you coz i had a prob once
with my a/c. it's either so warm inside or could freeze you out. but
here goes, check the engagement coil for the air-conditioner compressor clutch, it may not be functioning well enough or probably disengaging.

I pulled the brake/shift release switch which in mounted on the back of the brake arm and sprayed the contacts. It is now working. I am still having problems with the AC though. The vehicle is a 2003 model.
The AC is not having trouble engaging from the clutch. When it gets signal it engages. I hotwired the switch and it pulled in every time. I know there is a relay but dont know where it is.
