Exclamation 2 Quarts down?

Okay I am trying to figure something out. Yesterday we were coming home, and my check oil light came on. We stopped at Auto Zone and of course they helped check the oil. It has only been about 1200 miles since my last oil change by Break Masters. They said they do a double check when they do oil changes, and there is no way they could mess up. My dip stick says I am 2 quarts down, but my pressure gauge says i am fine.
So I have a light on, two quarts down, but my pressure is good. No signs underneath, no blue smoke, no smells. Any ideas?

Pressure isn't necessarily related to oil level.

I haven't seen a Trailblazer dipstick, but all dipsticks I've seen only mark 1 quart. To be 2 quarts down, I would have to have no oil showing on the dipstick.

Can you please post a picture of the dipstick that shows the oil level ?

Sorry yes this is correct. The oil is NOT registering on the dipstick.

Okay - add a quart, and see where and if it registers.

Then add another quart.

Be sure to wait a few minutes after turning off the engine or do it before you leave.
