Default Help with new car

Help! I just purchased a 2002 Trailblazer LTZ with 72,000 miles on it. I have two problems with it that I am trying to find history about. Looking online they seem to be somewhat common.

1. Wipers hesitate halfway through their motion while in use.

2. Curbview assist mirror moves up instead of down, or does not return back to the original position after going back into drive.

The first one is more of a major problem, especially living in Seattle :-P Just trying to get information on these. I went to the dealer that I bought it from last week and they have said that since I bought it as is that they cannot do anything for me. Apparently the wiper motor was replaced under the recall in 2004 so I dont qualify! Are either of these fixes I could do myself? Thanks!!

The wipers are automatic but this feature can be turned off on the stalk. If that does not work it may be time for motor. The mirrors are a pain in the butt. I have to adjust mine everytime it auto adjusts.

Good luck.
