Traverse Offroad AWD Clutch Bypass

I just read a PM comparison in which they actually took some CUVs offroad in the sand. Traverse did well
until the AWD clutch got hot from cycling and stopped locking in the rear wheels.
Once it cooled down it worked fine. Looks like someone out there could (or maybe has)
develop a chip or a bypass switch that would keep the clutch engaged in off-road driving. Then it would be a suitable off road driver from the results of the article. Anyone heard of such a mod?
