I knock the dirt out of my filters, then vacuum them. I then put them in a pail of warm water with laundry detergent and a little bleach and slosh them around for a couple of minutes. Then hose them off and let them dry out. Put them back in and you're good to go. They work like new.

I did the same thing as Papa Bear. I just washed them up and put the filter back in place. They are just pieces of sponge like material.

You can eventually wash cheap paper filters only. Active carbon filters are not washable. I prefer carbon filters though. More expensive but eliminate outside odours. I change my filters once a year. Dirty filters decrease A/C and ventilation performance.

For Chevrolet Uplander from year 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 you can see here how to locate and replace your cabin air filter.
Chevrolet Uplander cabin air filter location | Car filters location, air filter, oil filter, pollen filter
I hope is useful!
Thanks!

I actually want to replace the stock cabin filters (located in the glove box) with charcoal filters at some point to try and filter out the funky diesel exhaust around here.

Has anyone that's done this noticed a big difference in interior air quality?

Thanks

Jeremy

i clean mine with a vacuum cleaner using a small nozzle to reach the lower pocket. it work perfect except the material look dirty a bit. I find that the price of these filters are a rip off. The Uplander need 2 of them and it cost $50. for replacing them. Why so expensive? The material is very the same of a regular engine air filter. I will keep cleaning nine every 4 months.
