Default Uplander temperature

When driving my 2007 uplander 80 / 85 mph , The temp.gauge goes slightly above the midway point.

That is a normal temp, as your engine is working pretty hard to keep you moving at 80. If you slacked off the pedal to 65, the temp would drop. Remember, it takes a larger amount of gas to keep an engine turning at 3000 rpm when in the final gear.

If you are really concerned about it, you can install a lower temp thermostat; however, your economy will suffer. But at 80 mph, your fuel economy isn't that great.

Try 65-70. You should get about 24 mpg. Not bad for a van that has the aerodynamics of a brick.

I have a 2009 uplander and the normal temperature on the needle shows a little bit higher than the the middle mark when the engine has warmed up to its normal temperature. THIS IS THE NORMAL SETTING
