Default Can a US Speedometer be put in a Canadian Venture

Hello everyone.

I bought a 1998 Chevrolet Venture about three years ago, and it's a "Bobby Orr Signature Series," pretty much complete except for the puck. It's been trouble-free and reliable as the sunrise. Anyhow, its speedometer is metric; speed in kilometers per hour and distance in kilometers. What I'm wondering is, is it possible to swap out the Canadian instrument cluster for an American one? What would be needed to do it beyond the replacement cluster, if anything? I'd like to know before I get one from eBay or Pick 'n Pull.

Have not done it on my '05 Venture so can't be sure but...

My 2000 Impala had a misaligned temp needle and the tach liked to go up but not come down. I swapped out the 4 gauge cluster for a 6 gauge cluster from a slightly newer Monte Carlo. Of course my mileage went from 89K to 189K in ten minutes but all the gauges work and now I can go 20MPH faster. Since the Venture was made during the same period I would think it should work fine. I think I paid about $75 for my cluster. If it doesn't work you could just sell it if you can't return it.
