Reset Security system?

Reset Security system?
I attempted to change out my cd player in my 2004 Chevy Venture today and the security light started to flash. I did cut the stereo harness to splice in a new cd player (after market). The security light come on I tried to start the van and it would not. I reattached the original wires and replace the old cd player and still no power at all. When the key is turned nothing happens, no sound of the fuel pump, no chimes, no power windows (currently down). Please help!!!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

This worked for me (if you still need it).
Sitting in the van, with doors closed. (must stay closed)
Turn the key to the run position (not start)
Wait for security light to go out ( about 10 minutes)
Turn key off for 5 seconds.
Turn back to run.
Wait for light to go out.
Turn key off for 5 seconds.
Turn key to run.
Wait for light to go out.
Turn key off.
It should start now.
Good luck.
Ron
