Does anyone know if a Ecotec 2.0l Turbo Engine from Solstice GXP would fit in a Aveo5 H.B.??
If so, does anyone know who could do the swap and heavy mod the motorfor me??

There was a mod shop in california that made the swap but they had to make some major modifications. They had to cut the firewall back and swap the tranny as well and even shorten the cv axles. So it's possible but a major pain.

I just got my mothers 2004 Aveo. The motor in it is bad and i have a year before she signs over the title, if i can find a rear-end totaled Cobalt SS, ill take on the project... Have a truck to haul the damned thing around from place to place for adding the new power train and custom made parts... should be a blast... I heard you can buy a whole kit from the Chevrolet Dealership for 5000$ to 8000$ depending on how you want the motor... I would take a stock motor and tranny!
