Default Rear door retrofit?

SO, I've seen some of the astros (may just be the passenger vans) with this door setup: Name: 116_0502_01zchevrolet_astro_vanrear_view.jpg

My setup is currently like this:

Anyone know if I could get the hatch setup on my van? The hinge placement looks to be similar on the lower section. I just think this setup would be better for hauling longer material.

It should work, if you have the mounting pads for the hatch. But the hatch does bounce down when you hit a bump. And BTW, the Dutch Doors(that's Chevy's name for them) can be on a cargo van. That's what I have.

It's been done a few times on the two Astro van forums.

The hardest part will be adding the latch pins for the hatch.
