Did you use Armor All on the regularly. If so that is why. Tire shines that a high in silicone react with exhaust gases causing the tires to crack.

I have bridgestones on my truck, already lost 1 to dryrot, had I not been so excited to buy the truck last year I would have had the dealer put on new tires on, the other 3 are cracking horribly.

Anything that has a high silicone content. The more the silicone the more cracks. I use Jet Wet and have not had a issue.

I have known for years how to read the dot stamp...thanks...these tires are '08 vintage....that it why I'm concerned, as for the silicone content, my "Hankooks" on the 'burb don't crack, and they are '06....
