Default starter brushes

hi is there any simple way of keeping all 5 brushes in place in a starter while installing the shaft?

i ran out of those and patience so i went and cut the lawn now i can go back and maybe it will cooperate.thanks for your hitec help.

I was serious. If you have another person or two to hold the brushes in place, and back on the springs to get the commutator in place, thats what you need. Or find another use for duct tape.
