Default Bad starter drive? Bad Starter?

Hey guys, I bought a used Blazer about 9 months ago and I've been having troubles with the starter ever since. It started when I found out that the flywheel was completely bad and was grinding the teeth on itself and the starter drive. I ended up having to replace that original starter and eventually got a USED flywheel. Not only did I have to replace the flywheel but the part of the block where the flywheel mounts on was cracked and had to be re-welded. The flywheel was in pretty good condition (not sure about now), but ever since then the starter drive has been going out every few months (twice so far). I just got it replaced about 3 weeks ago, but now the starter makes a high shrill spinning sound whenever I try to crank the engine. Before it started this, and before that, it would start up fine 4 out of 5 times, but every 1/5 times, it would grind and sometimes even kick. What can I do? I really want to keep this truck but I'm lost.

Thanks in advance.

The starter motor starter drive teeth are not meshing properly with the flywheel/flex plate teeth the starter motor needs to be shimmed a starter shim goes between the engine block and the starter motor mounting pad.Below is a link on how to do it.

Hey, thanks a lot. I've not had an opportunity to get on this yet but once I do I'll reply the results to let everyone know whether or not this solved the problem.

So, the new starter that I put in the truck ended up breaking the starter after about 3 starts. This is what it looks like:

I'm trying to decide what to do to fix this truck. I'd hate to get rid of it. Any ideas?
