When Turning loud snapping Sound
I have a 2003 Cavalier, Auto. When turning there is a loud snapping sound coming from the drivers side. It sounds is if the strut bearing is seized or very dry. I was thinking of drilling a small hole from the top of the strut bearing and filling it with oil. What do you think good or bad idea.

turning with popping sound?
possibly you have a bad cv jont.. i would jack the car up and turn the wheel to the left or the right and then spin the wheel by hand in neutral .. you should be able to hear the sound or feel it with your hand on the wheel .. that might be your problem.. most front wheel drive cars the hae cv joints that make that popping sould usually means it is timne for a cv joint replacement.. try that first..but make sure you have it secure and safe on jack stands..
