Hey im new to this van scene and im hopin to get some help here. Im having shifting issues but not all the time. I checked the transmission vacuum lines and they seem to be in good shape. My transmission fluid is fine, I thought it could be the transmission modulator but I dont own the factory manual so I have no idea if its internal or external. Also whenever I accelerate it seems to flood itself. For example ill leave an intersection and as it goes through the gears it seems to stumble but only on low RPMs. Ive also noticed that when I cruise (around 35 to 45) it feels like something is pushing against the van, which I believe could be the transmission. This thing was my dads and it sat for 6 years before we finally got it runnin. Its got good compression im just trying to get all the little stuff worked out. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My bad. Its an 85 Chevy G-20 with a V6 4.3L but it has an 85 chassis and body if that matters

If you shift manually does it make any difference?
