Default Replace lightbuld in dashboard with led?

Hi..

As topic says, has anyone done this. Several of mine have gone out, so was thinking of replaceing them with leds.

If anyone have done this? What sockets are used and how many?

Any hints would been appreciated..

They last for years, so I would not spend too much money on any mods. You may find led dash replacements bulbs that are oem replacements. I know they make them for the 1156 and 1157 bulbs for the tail lights......

Search Results For "194" | LED Replacement Bulbs for Cars | 12v | Super Bright LEDs

has a good selection...

Lots of possible replacements for the "194" bulb That appears to be the correct one. There are many other bulbs that are in the 194 size and base type.

The real key is to fund out for your bulb placement which direction you want the bulb to shine as led's are not a 360 degree coverage always and often (like a dome bulb) you only need 180 degree or less coverage and can get an led that points its light where you want it. and remember "white" can range from orange near blue depending on usually the "kelvin degree" rating
a 2000 kelvin is more orange, a 5000 kelvin is bright whit to me.

The dash bulbs are not the problem the dome bulbs are, that the van uses the bulb circuit to see if the bulb (dome, turn signal...) is not burned out and regular LED's do not draw much power and thusly the car thinks they are burned out. there are canbus or resistor packs that take care of that if needed.

More than you needed maybe but this is the stuff I am looking at to replace my interior lights now.

Have fun!
