3400 v6 cooling fan ?
A friend of mine has an Olds Alero with the same engine as my Impala, 3400.
I think the car is a 2000.
His cooling fans are not kicking in, I checked the relays and fuses, they are good.
What else can cause this, and where is it located? anybody know?

RE: 3400 v6 cooling fan ?
Thanks for the reply.
I checked the wires and connections too. I was thinking along the lines of a temp. sensor or something. Is it run off the same sensor as the temp. gauge? We had the car running in the driveway, for about a half hour. It was a pretty warm day that day, but the temp. gauge never got over half and the fans never kicked in, any more ideas?

you can unplug the plug in the fan run some dummy wires from the fan <just bare the ends of the wires and put them in the plug socket> < dosnt matter what way if you get them the wrong way the fan will just spin bacwards >to see if the fan runs. then if it works it is probly the temp senser.
