Default carb tuning

hi there a have a chevy 350 crate with 8:5:1 compression, mild/performance cam .222 duration at .50, .460 lift, stock heads, and a edelbrock performer air gap intake. I just bought a demon carb for it, it is the speed demon ve 650 cfm with electric choke and vaccum secondaries. My question is did i choose a good carb and when i take it in to get it adjusted i am going to get them to do the basic tuning such as idle mixture adjustment, choke, vaccum pod, and float levels, but should i get more technical and get them to play with the jetting as well i know it will cost more money so i am wondering if it is worth it. thanks.

I have no experience with a Demon carb! I always used Edelbrock carbs. But I know as af as idle mixture screws I just turned them both all the way in then two and a half turns out.
