I installed a 235 out of a 56 pu with a 12v fligh wheel in my 53 with a castiorn powerglide but i cant seem to find a starter that will fit any help would be awesome

Welcome th the Chevy Forums.

With a 50+Y.O. vehicle (dude, that must be soo cool!) you may have to take the old unit to a local rebuilder and see if they can recondition it for you.

Let your fingers do the walking, call around to the local shops to see if you can find any joy.
