Starting Issues - need help
Happened right out of the blue. Went to start the car and nothing. It won't even turn over. So, my first thought was the battery of course, checked out at 12.70 volts. check the ohms on the starter relay (which by the way I can here clicking when someone else tries to start the car.) hooked a ground jumper up to 85, hot jumper up to 86 and check ohms on 87 and 30, got 1 ohm - 0.9 ohms, as far as I know thats correct for a starter relay. I'm getting 12+ volts of the terminal coming from the solenoid to the starter when trying to start the car. checked all the ignition fuses. The only other thing I can think of is the park/neutral position switch, but I dont know how to check that to see if it needs replaced. Any ideas of what I haven't checked? any ideas on how to check the PNP Switch?
Thanks

Yep, if you have 12 volts going to the starter either the starter is bad or you have a weak electrical connection allowing voltage flow without any amperage to back it up.
Try cleaning up the battery connections before you replace the starter.

Ignition/passlock problems
Ive got a 98 1500 w/t. It has the v6 in it. When I try to start it in the morning and get nothing. No crank but all lights, radio and door buzzer work fine. The security card is properly placed and in good condtion. I have to turn the key and let it sit for about 10 minutes after which the truck fires right up. Battery is pretty new and altenator seems to be working just fine. Not sure if I need to replace the ignition and if so can I just bypass the passlock security system or is the sensor for the passlock failing.
